A little life update! There’s been a bit of radio silence over here since I’ve been in the process of making some major life changes in the past couple of weeks. I’ve relocated to San Francisco for the next few months to further my studies in UX Design (my other passion outside of photography ). It’s been a winding road to get here, but I’m so excited to see where this next chapter of life takes me. . . This whole journey has been a great reminder to never let yourself get too comfortable with where you are, take risks and do what scares you the most. Since I’m new to the city, if you have any recommendations or work in the design field and want to chat over coffee, please reach out! ✨
Probably one of the most scenic swings I’ve ever been on. Whoever built this swing sure had the right idea about where they placed it. I loved spending some time here (minus the sandflies ) watching the sun go down over the mountains that surrounded us, just in awe of a place like no where else I’ve visited before ✨ Where was the last place that you visited that took your breath away?
First light amongst the fjords of Milford Sound ✨ A few days ago tragedy struck the beautiful country of New Zealand while I was visiting and took the lives of 50 innocent people. If you’ve ever visited NZ, you know just how peaceful and kind the people are as well as how lovely the scenery is. It’s heartbreaking to watch a country and the families affected go through such pain, which is why it’s important for us to come together for good and support one another in this dark time. My good friend @kylekotajarvi has setup an online print shop of NZ images, including a few of my very own, where all proceeds will be donated to help the victims’ families. Please show your support and bring some light to someone’s day visiting the shop (link in bio ) to purchase a print from one of the many talented contributing photographers 🇳🇿 #kiakahachristchurch
Skating through the windy roads of New Zealand 🇳🇿 . After waiting days for bad weather and rain to pass, we finally caught our first glimpse of Mt. Cook. Instantly NZ stole my heart, with its majestic landscapes, warm hearted people, and beautiful mountains. I already can’t wait to visit this stunning country again.
Magical mornings above the clouds. As someone who travels quite frequently, lately I’ve been reflecting on my actions and how they impact the world around us. I think it’s important that we start being more conscious of our actions and make changes, whether big or small, to help protect this beautiful planet that we call home 🌎 . . That's why I’m proud to be a judge on the @bankofthewest #capturethechange contest. Their goal is simple. To show their commitment to the initiatives that will have the most positive impact on our environment, which is something I can easily get behind! . . To enter the contest simply submit photos that capture the change you see or would like to see, around the world or in your backyard, whether it's energy transition, composting, sustainable fashion or protecting our planet. The winner gets a 3 year paid lease on a Tesla Model S (see contest rules ). That's pretty sweet. Contest ends 3/29. Hurry up and good luck! ✨ #ad #sponsored
The calm after the storm. Almost the entire time we were in Norway it rained all day and we experienced some of the strongest winds I’ve seen in awhile. After having endless bad luck with the weather we decided to extend our trip a few extra days in hopes of just getting a few hours of sunshine. On our last morning here, we were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise in Reine that happened just moments after a snowstorm had passed. It’s moments like this, where the best things happens when you least expect them, that I treasure the most ❄️
twenty four ✨ . Twenty three was a year filled with overwhelming growth and challenges. I traveled and experienced things I’d only dreamt of, as well as made big life decisions that have shaped me for the better. While this past year was a bumpy road that brought feelings of loneliness and lack of motivation with it, it’s reminded me that being comfortable never leads to self growth. . And so with that, I say goodbye to twenty three and hello to twenty four. I’m looking forward to what this next period of life will bring with it. I want to make the most of the incredible opportunity I’ve been given to inspire others, continue to grow as a person and share more of this beautiful world we’re lucky enough to call home 🌍 . 📸: @giuligartner
Windy mornings driving through the small fishing village of Reine. With red fishing cabins dotted amongst the coastline and fjords towering above, this place has to be one of the most picturesque villages in the world 🇳🇴 . Thanks @sixtusa for getting us around Norway while we’re here 🇳🇴 #sixtmoments
This past weekend we spent the night in an igloo at 2727m and we were lucky enough to wake up to this incredible view of the Matterhorn. Thank you @igludorf for always creating the most magical winter experiences. Would you choose to spend the night in an igloo? ❄️
